Our academic community is engaged in cutting edge, world-class research. It's this research that informs our teaching, lecturing and supervisions and one of the reasons that this is such an exciting place to learn.

Colleges are designed to encourage active discussions between students and researchers of different fields, and Lucy Cavendish, with its very relaxed and non-hierarchical structure, really fosters interdisciplinary conversations.

We hold regular seminars in which our researchers present their emerging findings to colleagues and to the College community as a whole.

With students from 85 countries engaged in interdisciplinary research across all subjects, Lucy Cavendish College is a global hub for cutting-edge discovery.

Cheers to Research

The college runs a 'Cheers to Research' event series which combines long-form presentation (ca. 15-20 minutes each) with the ‘3 Minute Thesis’ format to provide Lucy postgrads and postdocs with the opportunity to present their research to the college community in a relaxed setting.
