Lucy Cavendish student leverages College guidance to co-fund innovative venture.
In a groundbreaking venture, Lucy Cavendish College student and Future Global Leaders Programme participant, Charles Walker, has co-founded Reeplay, a revolutionary peer-to-peer digital marketplace for pre-played sports gear and equipment.
Reeplay is a platform dedicated to promoting sustainability, community, quality, and affordability in the world of sports. It makes it easy to buy and sell pre-played sports items, reducing waste and encouraging responsible consumption.
Reeplay was founded by Charles Walker, a Lucy Cavendish student and MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise together with Arthur Eynon, a keen sports player and student at Nottingham University. Arthur, who identified a gap in the market, leads the product and user experience, while Charles is responsible for finance and operations.
The team is further strengthened by Saskia Phillips, Marketing Lead, and Simon Lee, Consultant CTO.
Recently, they secured £100,000 in investment from two experienced angel investors to support platform development, user acquisition, and scaling the business.
Their premium listing option, Reeplay+, offers boosted visibility, item verification, entry into ticket draws for major sporting events, and a charitable donation for every sale. They also feature a carbon monitor, demonstrating the environmental benefits of buying pre-played. And for larger items like bikes and gym equipment, they're developing a custom collection and delivery service.
Reeplay is committed to building a community of sports enthusiasts.

Reeplay is targeting parents, students, and sports clubs/teams, with eventual plans for European expansion and the development of its own line of fully-recycled sports products.
