Moritz is a Researcher Associate in the Organisational Theory and Information Systems subject group at the Cambridge Judge Business School. Moritz’s postdoc is supported by a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. In his research, Moritz seeks to understand how organisational stakeholders deal with the backlash and psychological strain of supporting organisations that are widely disapproved because they are perceived to violate norms of appropriate behavior. In particular, he studies how positive emotions can help stakeholders to express their support for a disapproved organisation and to fend off the disapproval of the organisation.
Moritz holds a PhD in Management from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). In his dissertation, he studied how people evaluate and respond to controversial organisational practices, which violate established societal rules and norms.
Beyond academia, Moritz is a devoted supporter of his hometown football club Hertha BSC and enjoys tasting craft beers.
