STEMM students at Lucy Cavendish made the most of “May Week” this year by taking the opportunity to learn more about the local Life Sciences cluster.
The College is delighted to welcome the newest member of its collaborative project with local life-science businesses.
The Lucy Cavendish Life Sciences Community is growing! We’re delighted that Adrestia Therapeutics have chosen to join us. Based at the Babraham Research Campus, Adrestia are leaders in synthetic rescue, an approach that decodes the complexity of genetic networks to reveal new ways to treat diseases. Decades of research from the laboratory of synthetic lethality pioneer Professor Steve Jackson inform their platform which is already delivering world-first, validated targets and a pipeline that offers new hope for people suffering with devastating genetic diseases.
On joining the Community, Robert Johnson, Adrestia’s CEO said
The Life Sciences Community Fund and Programme is an excellent initiative to ensure students who have been traditionally under-represented not only progress to higher education but are able to take up opportunities and thrive in the university environment.
